The Paris Years: Paintings by Beauford Delaney from the Artist’s Estate

The week of February 17, Derek Spratley, Esq., the executor of the Beauford Delaney estate, will present a showing of Delaney’s paintings at the Student Union Art Gallery on the UT Campus. “The Paris Years: Paintings by Beauford Delaney from the Artist’s Estate” will give the public and UT students, faculty, and staff the opportunity to see original Delaney artwork that will be available for purchase after the close of the exhibition.


Lecture by Fred Moten, award-winning poet and critic, Thursday, February 20, 3:30 pm, UTK Student Union Auditorium. Free and Open to the Public.



John C. Hodges Library Book Display and Research Guides
The University of Tennessee Libraries are participating in the symposium by contributing a book display from the collection featuring print and e-books by and about James Baldwin, books about Beauford Delaney, and

books authored by the symposium speakers. To see the exhibit, visit the John C. Hodges Library, 2nd floor, South Commons.The Libraries will also be offering an online research guide that will feature the following: books by and about James Baldwin and about Beauford Delaney (links will take users to the catalogue record for the book); Online resources such as selected databases and websites.
